FOREWORD
中貿(mào)圣佳影像藝術部備感榮幸將在今年春拍呈現(xiàn)「又見:亞洲重要私
人收藏——香港沙龍攝影專場」。
在過去的兩百年光景里,香港作為中國最早的通商口岸之一,在攝影
術誕生之初活動就十分活躍。此外,沙龍攝影的繁榮與香港的攝影文
化乃至整個中國的攝影發(fā)展有著千絲萬縷的聯(lián)系,這使得香港沙龍攝
影成為一種獨特的文化現(xiàn)象。受到“海派”與“嶺南文化”的影響,
光影、構圖、影調(diào)等構成沙龍攝影的重要標志。攝影家們充滿現(xiàn)代主
義精神的影像探索,對現(xiàn)實題材的關注視角,以及與國際攝影文化接
軌的態(tài)度,時至今日都深刻影響著中國攝影的發(fā)展。
去年十月,我們有幸征集到來自亞洲重要藏家提供的 20 世紀五、六十
年代香港沙龍攝影作品近 900 幅?;赝袊跋袷袌霭l(fā)展歷程,這批
作品的體量及重要性都堪稱罕見,令人震撼。經(jīng)過長達四個月的考證
和梳理,今年二月,我們在上海圣佳藝術空間策劃了「人生舞臺·何
藩和他的朋友們」展覽,受到了業(yè)界的高度關注,獲得了良好反響。
四月,中貿(mào)圣佳影像藝術部與《中國攝影》雜志共同推出“風起湘江”
專題月刊。本次春拍,我們從中精選了 150 幅極具代表性的原作,多
維度、全方位地展現(xiàn)了香港攝影人的創(chuàng)作方式、風格流變,以及沙龍
攝影的評選機制,喚醒了我們關于香港沙龍攝影黃金年代的記憶,勾
連起 20 世紀中后期香港與內(nèi)地攝影文化交織融匯的歷史,映射出 20
世紀中葉新中國構建本土攝影文化的嘗試與努力。

It is a great honour to present “Resee: Hong Kong Salon Original
Photography-Important Private Asian Collections” in this spring
auctions.
For the past 200 years, Hong Kong, one of China's earliest trading
ports, has been active in the early days of photography. In addition,
the prosperity of Salon photography is inextricably linked to the
photographic culture of Hong Kong and the development of Chinese
photography as a whole, which makes salon's photography in Hong
Kong a unique cultural phenomenon. Influenced by“Shanghai style”
and“Lingnan culture”, light and shadow, composition, tone and other
important signs of salon photography. The image exploration full of
modernism spirit, the attention angle of view to the realistic subject
matter and the attitude of keeping in line with the international
photography culture have influenced the development of Chinese
photography to this day.
Last October, we were lucky to collect nearly 900 photographs of salon
from important Asian collectors in the 1950s and 1960s. Looking
back at the development of the Chinese photography market, the size
and importance of these works are rare and shocking. In February,
we curated the exhibition of “On the stage of life: Ho Fan and his
friends” at Sungari art space in Shanghai. The exhibition attracted
great attention from the industry, received a good response. In April,
Sungari Photography Department and Chinese photography magazine
jointly launched the “Iinspiration and Inheritence” monthly issue.
In this spring auction, we have selected 150 representative original
works from the collection, which offer a multi-dimensional and
comprehensive view of the Hong Kong photographers' creative style
and the evolution of their styles, as well as the selection mechanism of
Salon's photographs, it evokes the memories of the golden age of Salon's
photography in Hong Kong and brings together the photographic
culture of Hong Kong and the mainland in the mid-to-late 20th
century, it reflects the attempt and effort of New China in the middle
of the 20th century to construct the local photography culture.
Here, I would like to thank the collectors for choosing Sungari as
a partner, and thank the general manager of Sungari Photography
Department, Xue Shiqing, for his support, liu Shenfei, Fan Hangli and
Zhang Lanbing of the Sungari Photography Department have made
long-term preparations for this special event. Then thank Li Bo, deputy
editor of China Photography Magazine, and Wang Jiang, editor of
China Photography Magazine, i would like to thank Sarah Greene,
founder of Blue Lotus Gallery in Hong Kong and Ho Fan's agent, and
industry experts Wu Xiaoyi and Liu Ding for their academic advice. I
