李公書院是將虎丘李鴻章祠堂保護(hù)性開(kāi)發(fā)與利用，屬于城市公共精神空間的重新打造。蘇州李鴻
章祠堂是清廷下旨在全國(guó)建造的十座李鴻章祠堂之一，如完全按原貌恢復(fù)，所彰顯的歷史空間精
神顯然與當(dāng)代精神不符，本案僅將部分有關(guān)李鴻章的照片、書法作為裝飾背景之一，整體功能、
空間主題、裝飾風(fēng)格都與時(shí)代精神、地域文化匹配，形成全新的標(biāo)識(shí)性公共精神空間。同時(shí)豐富
虎丘旅游服務(wù)的業(yè)態(tài)類型，著眼會(huì)獎(jiǎng)旅游、文創(chuàng)開(kāi)發(fā)、打造歷史書吧、文化講堂、接待會(huì)議等特
色型文化場(chǎng)所，將保護(hù)與利用有效結(jié)合，從而激活歷史建筑應(yīng)有的生命力。

Ancestral Hall Is One Of The Ten Li Hongzhang Ancestral Halls Designed By The Qing Dynasty To Be
Built Nationwide. If Fully Restored To Its Original Appearance, The Historical Spatial Spirit Displayed Is
Obviously Inconsistent With The Contemporary Spirit. This Case Only Uses Some Photos And Calligraphy
Related To Li Hongzhang As One Of The Decorative Backgrounds, And The Overall Function, Spatial

場(chǎng)、綜合樓、1 號(hào)樓為序列組團(tuán)的中軸建筑群；另一組是以東邊別墅式接待樓及文體活動(dòng)中心組
成的環(huán)繞建筑群。設(shè)計(jì)提取傳統(tǒng)元素，利用現(xiàn)代手法加以簡(jiǎn)化和重組，屋面多為厚重的四坡頂，
配以細(xì)膩的花窗分割，于穩(wěn)重大氣之中透出玲瓏剔透的氣質(zhì)，并借鑒江南傳統(tǒng)民居的布局特點(diǎn)，
通過(guò)建筑型體的組合穿插，形成豐富的院落空間、過(guò)渡空間、于現(xiàn)代中體現(xiàn)一絲古典韻味。
