口662.1萬(wàn)‘雅稱雁城。2018年，中央備案同意，衡陽(yáng)正式列入湖南省大城市。

2020年12月2日，《湖南省國(guó)民經(jīng)濟(jì)和社會(huì)發(fā)展第十四個(gè)五年規(guī)劃和二〇三五年

遠(yuǎn)景目標(biāo)》,明確了把衡陽(yáng)建設(shè)成省域副中心城市的目標(biāo)。2022年7月22日，中共

中央 國(guó)務(wù)院《發(fā)布關(guān)于新時(shí)代推動(dòng)中部地區(qū)高質(zhì)量發(fā)展的意見(jiàn)》，衡陽(yáng)被定為中

部區(qū)域重點(diǎn)城市。

Hengyang, also known as “Wild Goose City”, enjoys a good reputation of “Beauty in the World”.

Hengyang City, with a total area of 15,300 square kilometers and a total population of 6.6 million, is located

in the south central of Hunan Province. Under its jurisdiction, there are 5 counties, 2 county-level cities and

5 districts. In 2018, The Central Government approved that Hengyang was officially listed as a large city

in Hunan Province. On December 2, 2020, the 14th Five-Year Plan for the National Economic and Social

Development and the Long-Range Objectives Through the Year 2035 of Hunan Province clearly defined the

goal of building Hengyang into a provincial sub-central city. Hengyang will make good use of the "Goldlettered Signboard" of "Demonstration Zone for Undertaking Industrial Transfer in Southern and Western

Hunan", rely on its own advantages and strengthen regional cooperation to act as a "leading goose" in

undertaking industrial transfer.

As a gateway to Guangdong, Guangxi and the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, Hengyang has always

been a gathering place for merchants and a battleground for military strategists. It is one of the 45 major transportation hub

cities in the country, and it is also a city charactered by land-port-type national logistics hub. It has one airport, one 1,000-ton

golden waterway, eight expressways, nine railways, and five high-speed railway stations. The national and provincial traffic

arteries are all over the territory, building a three-dimensional transportation network of water, land and air that extends in

all directions.

In the first half of the year, the region’s GDP grew by 11.5 percent year-on-year. From January to August, the total

value added of large-scale Industries, investment in fixed assets and retail sales of social consumer goods increased by

10.7% , 13.9% and 19.4% respectively. The balance of deposits and loans reached 460.2 billion yuan and 285.4 billion yuan

respectively, ranking second in the whole province.

Hengyang has been a business center since ancient times, vigorously promoting the online and offline consumption

of two-way speed up, traditional and new consumption of two-way integration, outlets, Veima, comfort nest and other wellknown brands in Hengyang to establish the first store, flagship store, the main market broke through 400,000 households,

People in Hengyang can read. Hengyang is an important cradle of Hunan culture. In more than 2220 years of recorded

history, the formation of the wild goose culture, fire culture, religious culture, Anti-japanese war culture, red classics and

other cultural characteristics. “The World Academy, Chu for prosperity, Chu’s academy, the balance for prosperity”, Tang

Yuan and years of the establishment of “Ye Hou Academy”is one of China’s oldest academy, the Hunan School actually

originated in this. Shigu Academy was the first of the “Four Great Academies”in the Early Song Dynasty. Hengyang has

admirals, Xia Minghan, the revolutionary pioneer, and Tang Qunying, the only woman in the Tongmenghui, were all bred

in this land. In 1944, Hengyang’s 17,000 defenders held off 120,000 Japanese invaders for 47 days, making it the most

deadly city offensive and defensive battle between the enemy and the Chinese army in the history of the War of resistance

against Japanese aggression, hengyang became the country’s only “Anti-japanese war memorial city”.

Hengyang has a solid industrial foundation. It is one

of the 26 old industrial bases in the country and an advanced

manufacturing base in Hunan. From the founding of New

China in 1949 to the 1980s, Hengyang’s GDP accounted for

one-third of the province. There are 1,243 enterprises above

designated size, 380,000 market players, and 500,000 industrial

workers. As a national pilot city for comprehensive reform

of service industry, a national demonstration base for new

industrialization industry, a major industrial city in the central

and southern regions, a strategic support for the Belt and

Road Initiative, and a demonstration zone city for undertaking

industrial transfer in southern and western Hunan, Hengyang

earnestly implements the “Three Hubs and Four Missions”

strategy and actively promotes the construction of the city with

strong modern industry. Consequently, a complete industrial

system has been formed; a batch of 100 billion-yuan industrial

clusters have begun to take shape; 14 key industrial chains

have showed a strong momentum of development. In 2019, the

growth rate of Hengyang's GDP ranked first in the province
