Zone was approved as a provincial economic development Zone in

2014. In 2016, Tianjin and Tangshan signed an agreement, making

Hangu Economic Development Zone a demonstration zone for the

coordinated development of Tianjin and Hebei. In 2018, Beijing-TianjinHebei signed the Framework Agreement on Further Strengthening

Strategic Cooperation, and Hangu Economic Development Zone has

become one of the platforms to undertake non-capital functions

determined by Hebei Provincial Party Committee and provincial
