喬納森·加里波第教授寧波諾丁漢大學執(zhí)行校長英國諾丁漢大學副校長親愛的捐贈人、朋友們，
2024年，寧波諾丁漢大學迎來了建校20周年的重要里程碑。在這一年中，根據(jù)愛思唯爾發(fā)布的《世界前 2% 頂尖科學家》榜單，我校學者上榜人數(shù)再攀高峰。同時，在2024年軟科中國大學排名中，我校以其卓越的學術成就和教育質(zhì)量路身第一梯隊，錄取分數(shù)和位次均顯著提升，受到眾多高考畢業(yè)生的青睞。更值得一提的是，在慶祝建校20周年活動中，近7000名校友回到母校，共同見證了這一盛事，參與人數(shù)創(chuàng)下新高。
在本學年，我們推出了校友門戶網(wǎng)站，成功吸引了近11000名校友踴躍注冊。通過這個平臺，校友們能夠輕松獲取最新的校園資訊，實時了解母校的最新動態(tài)，并與母校保持緊密聯(lián)系。同時，“20年寧諾光陰，聚焦20個校友故事"校友提名活動也正在進行中，我們希望讓世界聽見寧波諾丁漢大學校友的聲音，讓更多人了解他們的故事，感受他們的精神。
為慶祝建校20周年而發(fā)起的捐贈倡議，迄今已得到了671位捐贈人的慷慨支持。同時，我們也收獲了首批來自校友的大額捐贈，他們的熱憂支持為寧波諾丁漢大學的發(fā)展提供了強大動力。通過這些活動，發(fā)展與校友關系辦公室（DARO）致力于匯聚全球校友的力量，促進校友與母校之間的緊密聯(lián)系，使他們能夠參與到母校的發(fā)展之中。
在本學年，我們還歡慶了諾丁漢商學院成立25周年，三校聯(lián)合舉辦的慶祝活動吸引了全球各地的學者、校友和行業(yè)專家共襄盛舉。隨著學校迎來新的管理團隊，我們正滿懷信心地邁向第三個十年的新征程。展望未來，寧波諾丁漢大學將持續(xù)回饋社會。我們致力于構建一所"無邊界的大學”，迎接這個不斷變化的世界所帶來的挑戰(zhàn)與機遇。我們希望在這座充滿創(chuàng)意活力的校園里，培養(yǎng)志向遠大的學子，激勵他們?yōu)槭澜鐜矸e極的變化。正是得益于你們的慷慨支持，這一切才得以實現(xiàn)！

寧波諾丁漢大學
寧波諾丁漢大學于2004年經(jīng)教育部批準成立，是中國第一所具有獨立校園、獨立法人資格的中外合作大學，也是英國諾丁漢大學全球教育體系的重要成員之一。學校致力于培養(yǎng)立足中國、具有國際化視野且能勝任未來的創(chuàng)新型高級人才，面向國內(nèi)外招收本科生、碩士研究生和博士研究生，吸引了來自70多個國家和地區(qū)的學生。
2024年，寧波諾丁漢大學在QSStarsRating五星認證總體評級中獲得"五星-優(yōu)異”，在所有9個參評項目中獲得了五星的好成績。在"2024軟科世界一流學科排名"中，寧波諾丁漢大學工商管理、管理學、機械工程、電力電子工程、經(jīng)濟學、計算機科學與工程以及化學工程7門學科入選，上榜學科數(shù)量持續(xù)穩(wěn)居中國合作辦學高校第二。2024年，工程學、社會科學總論、經(jīng)濟與商務、材料科學分別進入基本科學指標數(shù)據(jù)庫（ESI）全球排名前 0.24% 0.46% 0.88% 和1%。
寧波諾丁漢大學至今已輸送超兩萬名本科、碩土、博士畢業(yè)生。寧波諾丁漢大學學子善于獨立思考、團隊合作，具有家國情懷、國際視野與跨文化交流能力，登上國際舞臺發(fā)光發(fā)熱，深受全球雇主的青睞。根據(jù)近年來寧波諾丁漢大學本科畢業(yè)生數(shù)據(jù)，留學深造的畢業(yè)生三成左右入讀世界大學綜合排名前十的頂尖高校，超 80% 進入世界前百強院校。直接就業(yè)的畢業(yè)生約 75% 去往國有企業(yè)、政府機關、事業(yè)單位、世界500強或中外知名企業(yè)機構。

心廿母校，共慶華誕：校友捐贈助力寧諾發(fā)展
校友百萬首捐：陳涵助力寧波諾丁漢大學創(chuàng)新飛躍
在寧波諾丁漢大學圖書館舉行的捐贈儀式上，2010屆國際商務管理專業(yè)校友陳涵在政府領導、校領導以及一百多名校友的見證下，將代表著一百萬元人民幣的捐贈牌遞交到寧諾黨委書記、教育發(fā)展基金會理事長沈偉其教授手中一這是寧諾首次接受來自校友的百萬捐贈
陳涵校友的捐贈將用于建立寧波諾丁漢大學李達三孵化園創(chuàng)新工作室一一陳涵基金，為學生提供了解數(shù)字資產(chǎn)、參加創(chuàng)新實踐及行業(yè)實習的機會，培養(yǎng)有社會責任感和專業(yè)執(zhí)行力的青年創(chuàng)新人才，并支持寧諾李達三孵化園開展相關行業(yè)研究。
捐贈儀式上，沈偉其教授為陳涵頒發(fā)捐贈證書，并發(fā)表致辭：“今天是個特殊的日子，我們一同見證來自寧諾校友的首筆大額捐贈。校友陳涵的捐贈是對未來企業(yè)家和創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)業(yè)人才的有力支持?！?/p>
陳涵表示：寧諾是她求學生涯中的重要階段，對她的成長起到了推動作用。她認為創(chuàng)新力是社會進步的推動力，希望通過捐贈回饋母校、助力創(chuàng)新思想的成果轉(zhuǎn)化，幫助更多學生勇敢地追逐自己的創(chuàng)新夢想，為學校和社會的發(fā)展做出貢獻。
為可持續(xù)未來賦能！ 校友捐贈助力“負責任商業(yè)與創(chuàng)新中心”
為響應聯(lián)合國可持續(xù)發(fā)展目標，在諾丁漢大學致力于可持續(xù)發(fā)展的戰(zhàn)略背景下，寧波諾丁漢大學2013屆國際商務管理專業(yè)校友、浙江玉皇山南私募基金管理有限公司創(chuàng)始合伙人胡文先生代表公司向?qū)W校負責任商業(yè)與創(chuàng)新中心（CBRI）捐贈一百萬元人民幣，支持諾丁漢大學商學院（中國）的可持續(xù)發(fā)展教育。
浙江玉皇山南私募基金管理有限公司的慷慨捐贈，將極大助力CRBI在ESG領域的相關研究。中心將開展一系列研究，以產(chǎn)出高質(zhì)量的學術論文，并在ESG和可持續(xù)實踐領域建立具有高影響力的區(qū)域卓越中心。這些研究將促進私營企業(yè)在不斷變化的環(huán)境中監(jiān)督、支持和推動ESG戰(zhàn)略的演進。同時，中心將致力于塑造正確的文化和思維方式，吸引私營企業(yè)參與并加強ESG實踐，培養(yǎng)能夠推動私營企業(yè)ESG戰(zhàn)略和成果的人才，提高企業(yè)品牌價值和競爭優(yōu)勢。

校友企業(yè)Trio咖啡每年捐贈部分利潤助力寧諾發(fā)展
適逢寧波諾丁漢大學建校20周年之際，Trio咖啡創(chuàng)始人郭蔡澤、王家駒決定每年將Trio咖啡部分利潤捐贈給寧諾，以可持續(xù)的方式為母校做貢獻。
郭蔡澤和王家駒是Trio咖啡的創(chuàng)始人，也是寧波諾丁漢大學2015屆的同學。他們一直以實際行動支持母校。2020年，在英國倫敦各自完成碩士學業(yè)，積累了一定工作經(jīng)驗后，郭蔡澤和王家駒決定將對餐飲的熱情轉(zhuǎn)化為事業(yè)，創(chuàng)辦了Trio咖啡。他們對咖啡品質(zhì)的堅持，讓Trio咖啡脫穎而出，與同類產(chǎn)品拉開差距，在寧諾校園開設分店后，Trio咖啡迅速獲得了師生的喜愛。如今他們拓展到健康餐食領域，在上海以隨心碗等多品牌的方式開啟新篇章
在寧諾開設分店以來，Trio咖啡與寧諾師生密切合作，支持了多項可持續(xù)發(fā)展活動，如”自帶環(huán)保杯"活動和"理工學院小熊（Bluesee）“項目。此外，他們也是寧諾國際婦女節(jié)活動的積極支持者，并參與了師生俱樂部活動和慈善活動。Trio咖啡還長期支持發(fā)展與校友關系辦公室（DARO）的工作，致力于促進校友與母校之間的聯(lián)系。
郭蔡澤和王家駒表示，“寧諾為我們樹立了航行目標，播下創(chuàng)業(yè)之種。在校期間的學習以及回校創(chuàng)辦企業(yè)也讓我們獲得了深刻的認知。為感謝母校栽培之恩，Trio咖啡也提出了新的口號'Start fromUNNC,partofUNNC'，將Trio融入寧諾學生們的學習與生活中。我們希望以這種可持續(xù)的方式回饋寧諾，傳遞綠色精神?！?/p>
校友捐贈設立滄海獎學金為寧諾注入新動力
金秋時節(jié)，寧波諾丁漢大學收到了一份來自2016屆校友紀滄海的贈禮一一他慷慨捐贈一百萬元人民幣，設立"滄海獎學金”。這一獎學金項目致力于塑造具有社會責任感、擁有創(chuàng)新和創(chuàng)業(yè)精神的國際化人才。
校友紀滄海表示：“寧諾給我提供了各種資源和機會。假期出國交流和學期中的交換讓我看到更大的世界。同輩之間相互學習、各種小組作業(yè)讓我學會與人溝通協(xié)作。我還學會了在挑戰(zhàn)中尋找機會，無論是學習英語時的挑戰(zhàn)，出國交換時的挑戰(zhàn)，還是創(chuàng)業(yè)和工作中的種種挑戰(zhàn)，我都會想到我的本科時光，我堅信能夠通過自己努力找到機會，克服挑戰(zhàn)，也希望學弟學妹們能在寧諾有所收獲，不負青春?！?/p>

2024年12月31日，本次校慶小額捐贈活動與寧波市慈善總會合作開展公開募捐，共收到704筆捐贈，募集萬元。從2004級到2024級，我們的校友和學生跨越了歲月的長河，共同參與到了這場意義非凡的捐贈活動對母校的深厚情誼。我們的中外教師職工紛紛駐足捐贈活動現(xiàn)場，以實際行動表達對學校未來的深切關懷。自發(fā)組織"寧諾家長捐助團"，通過線上渠道為學校的發(fā)展貢獻力量，傳達對寧諾培養(yǎng)孩子的肯定和感恩。此愛心人士也在校園開放日中慷慨解囊，展現(xiàn)了寧諾的廣泛影響力。

創(chuàng)新翼揚，夢想啟航：李達三創(chuàng)新基金獲得者們的故事
李達三創(chuàng)新基金，是由寧波諾丁漢大學教育發(fā)展基金會支持，寧波諾丁漢大學設立，由李達三孵化園監(jiān)督管理的一項技術成果轉(zhuǎn)移專項基金計劃，旨在鼓勵寧波諾丁漢大學教職員工及符合申請條件的學生將自身知識和研究成果產(chǎn)業(yè)化，以獲得更好的社會和經(jīng)濟影響。
陳慶佳：在數(shù)字星海中守護創(chuàng)意之星，巧妙管理知識產(chǎn)權風險
影響力故事
在全球數(shù)字化浪潮的推動下，知識產(chǎn)權保護面臨前所未有的挑戰(zhàn)。數(shù)字內(nèi)容的傳播與復制變得異常便捷，原創(chuàng)者的知識產(chǎn)權被侵犯的風險日趨增大。陳慶佳教授帶領的科研團隊正積極尋找創(chuàng)新解決方案，以應對這一嚴峻局勢，保護數(shù)字資產(chǎn)的知識產(chǎn)權。
成，這一需求通過區(qū)塊鏈技術來支持，以確保水印的真實性和未被篡改。在完成概念驗證后，下一步將是商業(yè)化水印流程，以保護多種數(shù)字資產(chǎn)。
陳慶佳，寧波諾丁漢大學運營管理學教授，連續(xù)多年被列入《全球前 2% 頂尖科學家名單》的"終身科學影響力排行榜"及榮獲"中國高被引學者"稱號；他發(fā)表了近300篇學術文章，包括近200篇同行評審的期刊論文、出版著作/著作章節(jié)20多項、擁有兩項發(fā)明專利；主持或參與相關國內(nèi)外項目近20余項。
這一新技術已獲得專利，并開發(fā)出3D打印加密鑒權平臺，展示數(shù)字水印技術的實際應用。在第14屆全球系統(tǒng)性創(chuàng)新大賽中，該平臺因卓越的學術表現(xiàn)獲得評審專家的一致贊譽，榮獲大賽銀獎和優(yōu)秀論文獎。在李達三創(chuàng)新基金的資助下，該平臺已經(jīng)初步投入運營，并獲得了業(yè)內(nèi)專家和用戶的積極反饋。
陳教授表示，李達三創(chuàng)新基金為寧波諾丁漢大學在知識產(chǎn)權保護領域的研究提供了重要支持，其中一項關鍵創(chuàng)新是將數(shù)字水印技術應用于3D打印和數(shù)字內(nèi)容，并使用區(qū)塊鏈技術來幫助驗證數(shù)字水印。
這項技術在數(shù)字資產(chǎn)文件中嵌入計算機可以識別但肉眼難以察覺的"簽名"。這個水印系統(tǒng)為數(shù)字內(nèi)容和3D打印對象建立了身份和所有權標識，同時可以跟蹤其使用情況。從法律角度看，必須有認證機制來驗證數(shù)字水印的生
陳教授及其團隊計劃運用技術手段有效管理知識產(chǎn)權風險，努力提升知識產(chǎn)權保護水平，為激發(fā)創(chuàng)新活力、推動構建以創(chuàng)新為核心的新發(fā)展格局做出重要貢獻。
張洪雷：綠色能源的推手實現(xiàn)新材料技術突破
“我由衷地感謝李達三博士對我研究工作的慷慨支持，在李達三創(chuàng)新基金的資助下，我們開展了一系列新型功能材料合成與應用研究工作，特別是在光電催化納米材料領域取得了可喜的成果?！眮碜灾Z丁漢大學卓越燈塔計劃（寧波）創(chuàng)新研究院（即"燈塔研究院"）的張洪雷博士說道。
張洪雷博士是諾丁漢大學燈塔研究院可再生能源與儲能領域的助理教授兼研究員。他入選浙江省重點人才計劃、寧波市甬江引才青年創(chuàng)新人才計劃、寧波市領軍拔尖人才計劃。近五年來，他主持參與各類科研項目10余項，已發(fā)表SCI期刊論文30余篇，谷歌學術論文總引用次數(shù)700余次（H因子15）
隨著氣候變化和能源枯竭問題的日益加劇，人類社會開始廣泛重視如何將溫室氣體二氧化碳轉(zhuǎn)化為高附加值化學品的課題。張洪雷博士及其團隊目前致力于開發(fā)新型光、電催化納米材料，一石二鳥地解決能源和環(huán)保問題。如利用太陽能，在新型光催化劑作用下實現(xiàn)二氧化碳到甲烷、乙烯等能源燃料的轉(zhuǎn)化，為化石燃料提供了替代方案，具有廣闊的應用前景。
張洪雷博士研究興趣廣泛，在材料合成、改性、實際應用方面也開展了一系列工作。例如，針對口服肺部藥物材料高劑量、低藥效、高副作用等問題，開發(fā)了一種粒徑可控的生物大分子藥物材料，可以通過肺部直接給藥，為提高藥物效率、降低副作用開辟了新途徑。
冉燎原：電動兩輪車和電動汽車智能電控減震器開發(fā)
寧波諾丁漢大學材料成型及控制工程專業(yè)的工學博士冉燎原自2017年起便與方程式賽車結下了不解之緣。那一年，對賽車充滿熱情的他加入了寧諾理工學院暑期科研項目中的“電動方程式賽車設計"項目，從此開啟了電動兩輪車和電動汽車智能電動減震器的開發(fā)之旅。
該項目在2021年和2023年兩次獲得李達三創(chuàng)新基金的支持。經(jīng)過三年的努力，團隊完成了從產(chǎn)品設計研發(fā)到市場落地的全過程。項目的成功推出不僅提升了高端新能源電動汽車和摩托車在市場的占有率，還為未來的智能汽車領域奠定了市場份額基礎。團隊與國內(nèi)兩家知名摩托車減震器廠商達成戰(zhàn)略合作，成功開發(fā)出第一代電控調(diào)節(jié)減震器原型產(chǎn)品。2023年，產(chǎn)品升級并實現(xiàn)了第一代電控減震器的批量生產(chǎn)，最終獲得250套訂單，累計銷售額超過100萬元人民幣。

寧諾校友施博聞博士是寧波諾云驅(qū)動科技有限公司的創(chuàng)始人之一，他通過不斷探索和創(chuàng)新綠色能源航空動力系統(tǒng)，為全球航空動力領域的發(fā)展做出了獨特的貢獻。
施博士在寧波諾丁漢大學師從張何教授。博士畢業(yè)后，他全身心投入到產(chǎn)品的產(chǎn)業(yè)化中，與幾位創(chuàng)始人一起，發(fā)揮各自的技術專長，深耕細分市場領域。他們將前沿的無感高速矢量控制FOC技術應用于電驅(qū)動領域，并不斷深入探索超大載重新能源飛機電驅(qū)動系統(tǒng)的極限。2022年1月，寧波諾云驅(qū)動科技有限公司應運而生。
諾云驅(qū)動，孵化于全球最大的航空電氣化科研機構PEMC（電力電子電驅(qū)及電機科研組）、浙江省多電飛機技術重點實驗室以及航空電氣化技術浙江省工程研究中心。團隊傳承了深厚的航空精神和科研基因，高度重視創(chuàng)新和技術研發(fā)。在產(chǎn)品設計和制造方面，公司采用了最先進的電機、電氣材料和應用集成技術，實現(xiàn)了在高安全余等級架構下的高功率密度電驅(qū)動系統(tǒng)。公司致力于為客戶提供高性能、高質(zhì)量、高可靠性和高安全性的航空級產(chǎn)品，包括新能源航空動力電機和控制器（逆變器）等。
李葉耀珍獎學金，由著名"寧波幫"愛國人士李達三博士和他的夫人葉耀珍女士于2008年捐資設立?！袄钊~耀珍獎學金"旨在獎勵誠實守信、品學兼優(yōu)、愛國愛鄉(xiāng)、勤奮自律、具有創(chuàng)新精神、批判性思維、敢于挑戰(zhàn)自我，且具有發(fā)展?jié)撃艿膬?yōu)秀學子。本學年，共有9名學生復評獲得李葉耀珍獎學金。項目自成立以來，共有100多名優(yōu)秀學生憑借其卓越表現(xiàn)獲此殊榮。
寧諾出發(fā)，牛津夢圓： 李葉耀珍獎學金獲得者王澤陽
王澤陽是寧波諾丁漢大學人文學院國際傳播學的學生，自2020年入學之初，王澤陽便榮獲李葉耀珍全額獎學金，并連續(xù)四年獲得全額獎學金。這一榮譽并非易事，每年的復評要求成績必須保持在專業(yè)前 10% 或均分65以上。為了持續(xù)保持這份榮譽，王澤陽秉持"求上得中"的準則，嚴格要求自己，不僅在學術上精益求精，更在自律和專注上下足了功夫。
王澤陽涉獵廣泛，深入學習，不滿足于課業(yè)的要求，更在課余時間閱讀大量文獻，從不同角度思考問題。此外，他還善于利用老師的辦公時間，積極跟老師互動溝通，在和老師與同學的交流中發(fā)現(xiàn)自己的不足，不斷挑戰(zhàn)自己的學術極限。在申請季，他收到了牛津大學的女性、性別與性研究專業(yè)、劍橋大學多學科性別研究專業(yè)、芝加哥大學性別研究專業(yè)等知名國際院校的錄取。
除了學術上的卓越，王澤陽在校園生活中也展現(xiàn)出非凡的活力。他積極參與社團活動，曾擔任媒體中心廣播站的干事，為校園廣播劇配音，并策劃錄制微信廣播節(jié)目。同時，他還在中文角擔任活動部干事，并作為孔子學院漢語國際教育的志愿者，幫助國際學生學習中文。在王澤陽看來，這些經(jīng)歷讓他用自己的特長去創(chuàng)造價值，豐富了他的校園生活，意義非凡。
談及自己的專業(yè)，王澤陽滿懷熱情。他認為國際傳播學的學習賦予了他批判性思維、獨立思考和創(chuàng)新性思考的能力。通過學習傳播學，他深入了解了信息在不同媒介上的表現(xiàn)與傳達，也對社會文化的構成、運作和發(fā)展有了更多獨特的見解。
如今已經(jīng)在英國牛津大學攻讀碩士的王澤陽堅信，只有步履堅定地朝著自己目標的方向行走，才能不斷實現(xiàn)自我超越。他期待著在牛津大學畢業(yè)后繼續(xù)攻讀博士學位，并成為一名大學講師，將自己的知識和經(jīng)驗傳授給更多的人。

夢想獎學金，作為寧波諾丁漢大學教育發(fā)展基金會的重要慈善項目，由創(chuàng)校校長楊福家教授于2013年捐資設立，旨在獎勵在第二課堂表現(xiàn)突出、為夢想而努力奮斗的學生。該獎學金共設3個類別的獎項：個人獎、團體獎和夢想基金。該獎項在鼓勵學生努力學習、奮發(fā)向上、促進學生德智體美全面發(fā)展等多個方面具有極為重要的意義。
夢想獎學金獲得者：聯(lián)合國論壇上的"弄潮兒"邵逸飛
在維也納舉辦的聯(lián)合國毒品與犯罪問題辦公室暨麻醉品委員會青年論壇上，夢想獎學金獲得者、寧波諾丁漢大學國際學專業(yè)的邵逸飛有條不地向來自全球26個國家的34位青年代表分享著中國在預防毒品和藥物濫用方面的措施和成果。這是繼蔡露曦參與2023年聯(lián)合國毒品與犯罪問題辦公室青年論壇之后，寧諾學子的身影再次出現(xiàn)在聯(lián)合國該論壇上。這是中國大陸第一次由同一所高校連續(xù)兩年派出學生代表參與聯(lián)合國禁毒青年論壇。
邵逸飛還深度參與了會議成果一《青年宣言2024》的編寫，并接受了聯(lián)合國官方媒體的采訪，向世界傳達了中國禁毒的決心。突出的綜合素質(zhì)和過硬的專業(yè)水平不僅讓他從多輪的選拔中脫穎而出，更幫助他在聯(lián)合國的舞臺上展示了中國青年的卓越風采。
作為聯(lián)合國主題活動的?？?，邵逸飛早在高中時期就通過參與模擬聯(lián)合國的活動培養(yǎng)了對全球機制和國際事務的興趣。高中畢業(yè)后，他被寧諾國際化的教學模式和豐富的平臺資源所吸引，并追隨內(nèi)心選擇就讀國際學專業(yè)。進入大學后，比多數(shù)人更早發(fā)現(xiàn)"火種"的邵逸飛在寧諾開放自由的氛圍中開啟了一系列的自主探索。他的身影時?；钴S在聯(lián)合國各類活動中，足跡遍布上海、北京、巴黎等多個城市。
2022年，邵逸飛參加了聯(lián)合國難民署舉辦的挑戰(zhàn)賽，他與團隊完成的一份決議草案被提交至聯(lián)合國進行官方審議，獲得了該賽事的特殊提名獎。這也是他第一次真正感受到通過親身參與國際事務推動可持續(xù)發(fā)展的價值所在。2023年，遠赴英國交換的邵逸飛參與了聯(lián)合國教科文組織的論壇，并作為學生代表與歐洲高校校長和政策制定者探討社會變革等熱點議題。同年，他與團隊在"2023年清華大學全球可持續(xù)發(fā)展目標公共政策案例分析大賽"上從全球50多個名校代表隊中脫穎而出，榮獲本科生組二等獎。
此外，邵逸飛憑借著優(yōu)異的表現(xiàn)在"2023模擬全球環(huán)境談判青年峰會"中收獲了"最佳代表"的榮譽稱號。他還曾登上亞洲本科生學術論壇并擔任主旨演講人，與全球青年學者共議各國對于環(huán)境問題所采取的策略和行動。
目前，完成本科學業(yè)的邵逸飛已收到了牛津大學的研究生錄取通知。他希望自己的經(jīng)歷能為更多寧諾的小伙伴帶來啟發(fā)?！皬男〉酱螅覀兟犃颂嗟?正確答案’，實際上很多事情都沒有唯一的解。因此，運用批判性思維進行獨立思考顯得尤為重要。我們不僅要嘗試找到自己的方向，并堅持不懈地朝著目標前進，更要以開放的平常心去面對不斷變化的未來。”邵逸飛說。
楊福家科研人才發(fā)展獎學金，是由寧波諾丁漢大學設立的一項博士生獎學金項目，旨在紀念并致敬前校長楊福家院士。該獎學金2022年由"凱普生物"慷慨捐贈設立，旨在延續(xù)并發(fā)揚楊校長的博雅教育理念，為在寧波諾丁漢大學攻讀博士學位的優(yōu)秀學生提供全方位的支持，助力培養(yǎng)國際創(chuàng)新人才，推動中國高等教育的發(fā)展。這不僅是一項獎學金的設立，更是一場教育理念的接力，是楊校長教育遺產(chǎn)的傳承。
薪火相傳：楊福家科研人才發(fā)展獎學金獲獎者故事
田宇是寧波諾丁漢大學歷史與政治博士研究生，從初中進入寧波外國語學校學習開始，他便發(fā)現(xiàn)了自己對外語的熱情與天賦。本科期間，他從零開始學習法語，刻苦努力，在本科未畢業(yè)就拿到了法語B2等級證書。隨后他決定將語言作為工具，探索法語世界的政治與歷史奧秘，申請了寧波諾丁漢大學的碩士生項目。
碩士期間，田宇發(fā)現(xiàn)了自己的追求所在一一在學術領域做出一番屬于自己的成就。理想很豐滿，現(xiàn)實卻十分骨感，但田宇始終堅信，要把真正的興趣與內(nèi)在價值相結合，才能走出屬于自己的路。
楊福家科研人才發(fā)展獎學金為田宇的學術生涯帶來了希望之光。他感慨道：“博士獎學金的競爭越來越激烈，尤其是對于我們?nèi)宋膶W科的學生來說，申請博士獎學金更加困難。讓我驚喜的是，楊福家科研人才發(fā)展獎學金將人文學科的學子也納入考慮范圍，獲得這份殊榮對我來說真的就像是一份珍貴的禮物。“
對于同樣懷抱學術理想的后來者，田宇鼓勵他們：“無論前路多么艱難，堅守內(nèi)心的熱愛，勇敢地邁出每一步，守護心靈深處的火種’，用知識和熱情照亮前行的路。"
王睿祺同樣作為楊福家科研人才發(fā)展獎學金獲得者，也在以她的行動，延續(xù)著心中的"火種”。作為化學工程專業(yè)一年級的博士生，王睿祺曾是寧波諾丁漢大學的本科學生，在英國帝國理工學院完成自己的碩士學位后，選擇繼續(xù)回到寧諾攻讀博士學位。
王睿祺這樣描述她重返寧諾的原因：“本科四年的學習生活讓我對寧諾產(chǎn)生了家的歸屬感和熟悉感。寧諾不僅提供了熟悉的環(huán)境，還讓我體驗到了國際化學習氛圍。這里舉辦的各類文化交流活動和學術研討，讓我的大學生活不僅僅是學習，更是一場豐富多彩的人生體驗。寧諾的位置優(yōu)越，提供的多元化教育體驗對未來的求職幫助很大。學術講座和研討會等資源也讓我不斷拓寬眼界。“

樂歌創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)業(yè)基金：激發(fā)創(chuàng)新火花，培養(yǎng)時代先鋒
寧諾樂歌創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)業(yè)基金由樂歌股份于2022年捐贈設立，核心宗旨在于為學生提供參與實際課題研究的機會，以此提升他們的職業(yè)競爭力，并培養(yǎng)他們的創(chuàng)新思維。該基金致力于幫助學生實現(xiàn)理論與實踐的無縫對接，解決行業(yè)面臨的實際挑戰(zhàn)，并最終培育出一批能夠滿足時代發(fā)展需求的創(chuàng)新型人才。
寧諾樂歌創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)業(yè)基金自啟動以來，便受到了寧諾師生廣泛的關注與參與。2023-2024年度的項目中，商學院、人文社科學院以及理工學院的學生踴躍報名，總計約260名學生申請參與，其中149名學生成功入選，并組成多個團隊參與到不同的創(chuàng)新課題中。項目涉及的領域非常廣泛，包括人工智能、跨境電商、海外倉品牌研究、營銷策略、新媒體運營、數(shù)字動畫建模、產(chǎn)品設計等，涵蓋了當今社會最前沿的技術和行業(yè)熱點。
在本次評審中，由自寧諾的學術教授和樂歌公司的專家組成的評審委員會從學術研究的深度與創(chuàng)新性、實踐應用的可行性等多個維度對入圍項目進行了綜合評定：3支團隊榮獲最高榮譽一等獎，8支團隊獲得二等獎，6支團隊摘得三等獎，共有53名學生的杰出表現(xiàn)獲得了表彰。這一創(chuàng)新基金的設立為寧諾學子提供了豐富的機會，讓他們能夠在實踐中探索創(chuàng)新思維、培養(yǎng)創(chuàng)業(yè)精神，并積累寶貴的工作經(jīng)驗。
在眾多精彩的參賽項目中，由國際傳播學專業(yè)的段逸曉、姜易杉、劉雙碩、王筱組成的第八組團隊以其對樂歌升降桌的精湛三維建模技術脫穎而出，贏得了一等獎的殊榮。

劉雙碩：“十分感謝這段大家彼此陪伴的時光。時到今日，我仍然能夠想起我們四個在IEB大廳絞盡腦汁地想創(chuàng)意、在實驗室一遍遍地進行掃描工作、在電腦前對著不太熟悉的建模軟件發(fā)呆；我也能夠想起我們一次次的小聚，在四食談天說地，在Lin和Xiaolin老師幫助下共度難關。我想在畢業(yè)后我可能也會經(jīng)常想起這段美好的日子，是我大四生活的解藥。真的很愛大家，很感謝你們！”
寧諾學子亮相新加坡紅點獎頒獎典禮，獲兩項國際大獎！
指導老師吳疆博士介紹說：“每年度的紅點概念設計獎會收到來自全球50多個國家的超4000件作品，獲獎比率約為 5%_{e} ，盡管角逐非常激烈，今年在?老齡化和老年醫(yī)學主題下的6件獲獎作品，就有2項出自寧諾學子，屬實難得。”
用項鏈對抗遺忘？可以提升握力的VR控制器？這兩個作品引起世界關注
王筱曦和陳芷漪的作品《憶（Memory）》，由一條項鏈、一枚戒指和若干標簽組成，利用無線通信（NFC）技術和增強現(xiàn)實技術（AR），幫助阿爾茲海默癥人群更加獨立且更有尊嚴地生活?；颊叩淖优梢詫⑻嵝研畔浫胂到y(tǒng)，當患者靠近帶有NFC標簽的物品時，戒指會自動讀取信息并用藍牙將其傳輸?shù)巾楁?，項鏈的揚聲器便會播放提醒內(nèi)容。
Grippy則是一款結合了健康、安全和娛樂元素的虛擬現(xiàn)實（VR）游戲控制器，搭配VR游戲以激勵老年群體鍛煉握力，通過握持、按壓和傾斜的方式即可輕松上手。為增強體驗并符合老年人的使用需求，產(chǎn)品還添加了許多細節(jié)，如采用紋理設計增強握持的穩(wěn)定性。
寧諾理工學院合作與創(chuàng)新副院長、產(chǎn)品設計與制造教授孫煦和法國籍教師LoicFaulon均參與了兩個獲獎作品的指導。
從最初的產(chǎn)品設計到最終站上紅點獎頒獎典禮，三位獲獎選手都深刻體會到自己專業(yè)能力、設計思維和科研探索能力得到了顯著提升。
今年剛從寧諾畢業(yè)的王筱曦正在新加坡國立大學攻讀工程設計與創(chuàng)新碩士，專注于生物醫(yī)學工程的研究方向，現(xiàn)在的她依然聚焦阿爾茲海默癥人群的痛點，探索一種結合腦部電刺激與音樂療法的設備；隊友陳芷漪目前在美國賓夕法尼亞大學的集成產(chǎn)品設計專業(yè)就讀，正在設計適用于自閉癥患者的休息空間，并開發(fā)幫助中風患者的可穿戴機械臂；與此同時，仍在寧諾大四就讀的HoilamLeong也在對她的Grippy設備進行升級選代，優(yōu)化內(nèi)部傳感器和電路結構以實現(xiàn)功能的優(yōu)化，并準備投入實際測試。
2024年，在新加坡舉辦的紅點獎頒獎典禮上，寧波諾丁漢大學2020級工業(yè)設計專業(yè)畢業(yè)生王筱曦、陳芷漪共同設計的《憶（Memory）》以及大四學生HoilamLeong的設計作品《Grippy》在本次比賽中均獲紅點概念獎。該項目由寧波諾丁漢大學教育發(fā)展基金會參與支持。
紅點獎（RedDotAward）已擁有超過半個世紀的輝煌歷史，被譽為設計界的"奧斯卡"。歷年來，美國IBM、荷蘭Phillips、韓國Samsung、日本Pana-sonic以及美國麻省理工學院和清華大學等全球知名企業(yè)與院校競相在紅點獎上爭奪榮譽。
寧諾賦予他們的不僅是扎實的專業(yè)知識，更是一種探索和創(chuàng)新的勇氣，鼓勵他們在這個充滿挑戰(zhàn)與機遇的時代，用自己的人文視角和熱情，書寫著屬于年輕設計師的篇章。
美在浸潤，育在融合：寧諾駐校藝術家項目
由寧波諾丁漢大學教育發(fā)展基金會資助，駐校藝術家項目旨在通過藝術的橋梁，為寧諾師生提供近距離感受不同風格的藝術之美、接觸世界前沿藝術理念和資訊的機會。通過多種藝術表達形式，讓學校師生在多元的藝術氛圍中提升審美能力，與藝術建立更深刻的聯(lián)系。
2023-2024學年秋季學期，駐校藝術家項目邀請到藝術家王波為師生們帶來一場當代藝術之旅。通過個人展覽、系列工作坊等活動，走進當代藝術家王波的創(chuàng)作世界，感悟其作品所架構的全新秩序與原則。
展覽《失重》
王波個人展覽《失重》于2023年10-11月在寧波諾丁漢大學圖書館展覽廳展出，共計3000多人次觀看了本次展覽。展覽以文字和繪畫為喻體，呈現(xiàn)了他一系列深入個人記憶的視覺表達以及"科學與藝術"的融合。
信物—綜合繪畫工作坊
“信物"是時間延續(xù)的記錄，是在場空間的呈現(xiàn)和情感傳遞的媒介。一幅畫，一場展覽，我們從信物中找尋故事，在故事中探尋自我。本次工作坊鼓勵同學們不斷展現(xiàn)生命力，在信物的留存中尋覓，勇敢探索新領域，在挑戰(zhàn)與嘗試中成長。
"王波在其藝術作品中運用科學主題和原理，讓觀眾發(fā)現(xiàn)欣賞藝術的多個切入點，將短暫的藝術與可科學量化的藝術結合起來，加強藝術與科學的聯(lián)系。王波從已故校長楊福家院士的著作和教育理念中汲取靈感，并向外發(fā)揚光大，表達了對楊校長和寧諾的敬意。在整個藝術展期間，藝術家為學生們提供了思考藝術和啟發(fā)靈感的機會，讓他們參與藝術鑒賞和實踐，培養(yǎng)學生對藝術的探索和感知”，寧諾高級藝術發(fā)展專員RoryPerrott表示。
亞運會場的志愿風采：寧諾小青荷的綻放
汗撒賽場，青春激昂。作為有史以來規(guī)模最大的亞運會，杭州第19屆亞運會已成功落下帷幕，來自亞洲奧林匹克理事會全部45個成員的數(shù)萬名運動員和賽事組織者共同將體育的魅力和中國的美好呈現(xiàn)給了世界。臺前，從游泳池到田徑場，健兒們用堅韌和拼搏譜寫著自己的輝煌篇章；幕后，從志愿服務到科技賦能，寧波諾丁漢大學踐行著"用心交融，互相包容"的杭州亞運精神，在本次亞運會上繪出了一道靚麗的風景線。
本屆亞運會上，來自寧波諾丁漢大學的106名志愿者在寧波象山賽區(qū)的翻譯、安全檢查、接待服務等多個崗位上發(fā)光發(fā)熱。雖然各自的"光斑"有小有大，他們都憑著在跨文化交流、解決問題、團隊協(xié)作等方面的出色表現(xiàn)贏得了來自不同國家（地區(qū)）賓客的認可，向世界展現(xiàn)著中國青年的精神風貌。
朱萱漪英語研究與國際商務專業(yè)
朱萱漪是英語研究與國際商務專業(yè)的學生，在校內(nèi)曾擔任社團社長和可持續(xù)發(fā)展委員會學生代表的她一直對家國情懷有著強烈的的認同感，自然不會錯過這次"家門口"的盛事。朱萱漪被分配到的是市場開發(fā)部門負責贊助企業(yè)服務的崗位。小到咖啡條、蕃茄醬和餐巾紙，大到空調(diào)、冰箱和流動人員的服裝，她需要確保唯有贊助商的品牌保留在大眾視線中，其余的則需用標簽完全遮蓋掉?！耙苍S這項工作并不起眼，但我一次次微小的付出既是對反隱性營銷的實踐，也是對本次亞運會合作伙伴的保障和尊重，這讓我覺得成就感十足?！彼f。
左芮嘉金融財務與管理專業(yè)
亞運會期間，亞洲帆船聯(lián)合會主席MalavShroff與秘書長JasonLim到訪寧波象山亞帆中心。金融財務與管理的左芮嘉陪同兩位貴賓慰問了來自不同國家（地區(qū)）的運動員們，并與秘書長共同觀看、討論亞運賽事。在與”大咖”們的近距離互動中，左芮嘉感受頗深，她說：“杭州亞運會開幕式現(xiàn)場，五彩的煙花在屏幕上綻放，正如來自五湖四海的人們聚集在一起。面對不同的貴賓時，我都會想起這絢麗的一幕。正是因為各界人民團結互愛，才有了此次亞運會的成功舉辦。”
馬皓天土木工程專業(yè)
馬皓天是寧諾的畢業(yè)生，他作為寧波半邊山沙灘排球中心運營團隊工作人員，參與了本次亞運會的籌備運營。無論是寧諾國際化教學模式中收獲的專業(yè)素養(yǎng)，還是從業(yè)國際貿(mào)易積累的理事經(jīng)驗，都給他帶來了十足的自信與底氣，更為他在亞運期間的服務工作帶來了諸多幫助。馬皓天說：“工作也好，生意也好，機會有很多。但是亞運會可能就這么一次。給你這個機會，就要好好準備做些貢獻。而家人的支持也給我?guī)砹烁嗟膭恿Α！?/p>
行走在中國：感受文化之美，搭建交流之橋
行走在中國（LivinginChina）是寧波諾丁漢大學面向全校師生，針對外籍學生開展設計的文化體驗和實踐活動。該項目旨在通過一系列豐富多彩的實景體驗和沉浸式文化活動，讓參與者更好地適應在校的學習，使其更好地了解地方傳統(tǒng)文化和習俗，盡快融入當?shù)厣睢Ｗ皂椖繂右詠?，行走在中國系列活動得到了參與者的一致好評，目前該項目也面向中外籍教師，促進師生融合與文化交流。
活動主題既包括以中國傳統(tǒng)文化體驗為主的研學之旅，也有體驗現(xiàn)代化城市建設以及新農(nóng)村建設的城市/鄉(xiāng)村體驗日，也有融匯中西文化邀請中外學生一起的支教體驗，聚集五湖四海專家的跨文化研討會等等。自活動開展以來，受到了參與者的一致好評，也收獲了來自媒體的高度關注，進一步提升了項目的社會影響力。
“行走在中國"系列活動得到了當?shù)卣块T的大力支持，并獲得了較高的社會關注。相關活動新聞在CCTV-4中文國際頻道播出，在《人民日報》、《中國日報》、《中國新聞網(wǎng)》等國內(nèi)主流媒體期刊也有較高的曝光率。
2023年來到寧諾攻讀國際管理碩士的Samuel經(jīng)常參加"行走在中國"活動。Samuel表示：“我的學習和生活都非常繁忙，學生事務中心舉辦的行走在中國項目平衡了我的學習和娛樂，讓我親身感受到了中國文化和社會的不同側面。從春節(jié)慶祝活動包餃子，到2022年的奉化之旅和寧波文化博物館參觀行程，以及其他一些活動，都非常好。我覺得這個項目本身就很有價值和意義。"
寧波諾丁漢大學教育發(fā)展基金會再次獲評"5A級社會組織"稱號
2024年12月17日，浙江省民政廳發(fā)布關于2024年度全省性社會組織評估結果的公告，寧波諾丁漢大學教育發(fā)展基金會獲評最高等級一5A級社會組織，這是繼2019年被浙江省民政廳授予5A等級后再次獲此殊榮。
寧波諾丁漢大學教育發(fā)展基金會（以下簡稱"寧諾基金會"）注冊成立于2012年9月4日，是經(jīng)浙江省民政廳及浙江省教育廳批準成立的非公募基金會，也是浙江省第一家獲得5A評級的中外合作大學基金會。
成立十二年以來，寧諾基金會始終秉承"集資集智，立德樹人"的宗旨，積極拓展和吸納社會資源，全面支持和推動寧波諾丁漢大學的長遠建設和發(fā)展。
此次榮獲5A級社會組織的殊榮，是寧諾基金會在學校和理事會的指導下，以及廣大校友和社會各界的深切關懷與鼎力支持下所取得的成就。這份榮譽不僅是對基金會過往工作的認可，更是對未來工作的激勵與鞭策。
以此為新的起點，寧諾基金會將繼續(xù)強化其作為學校與校友、社會力量之間的橋梁作用，進一步匯聚更廣泛的社會資源，積極適應學校未來發(fā)展的需求，致力于為學校的事業(yè)發(fā)展貢獻新的力量，并為社會公益慈善事業(yè)的發(fā)展注入新的活力。
關于社會組織評估等級
社會組織規(guī)范化建設評估是各級人民政府民政部門依法實施社會組織監(jiān)督管理職責、促進社會組織健康發(fā)展的重要舉措。依照規(guī)范的方法和程序，由評估機構根據(jù)評估標準，對社會組織進行客觀、全面、嚴謹?shù)脑u估，由高到低分為5個等級，其中5A級（AAAAA）是最高級別認證。獲評5A級即是對基金會專業(yè)化、規(guī)范化、公信力及創(chuàng)新能力的全面評價與充分肯定。

ThededicatedAlumniPortalhasbeenlaunchedwith nearly11,000ofouralumnisignedupforlatestupdates andexclusiveinformationtokeepthemconnectedwith theiralma mater,andwe'velaunched the20Years,20 AlumniFeaturescampaigntohearmoreaboutthepaths ourgraduatestake.

DrZhanghasabroadrangeofresearchinterestsandhascarriedoutextensiveworkinmaterial synthesis, modification, and practical applications.Forinstance,to address issuesrelated tohigh dosage,lowefficacy,and significantside effects in orally administered pulmonary drugs, he has developed a biomacromolecular drug material with controlled particle size. This innovation enables direct pulmonary drug delivery, opening up new avenues for enhancing drug efficiency andreducingsideeffects.
Liaoyuan Ran: developing electric vehicle systems for electric motorcycles
LiaoyuanRan,aPhDgraduateinMechanical EngineeringfromUNNC, discoveredhispassionforformularacinginthesummerof2017.It all beganwhenhejoined aUNNCsummerresearchprojecttodesigna race car,sparking hisjourney into developing semi-active suspension systemsforelectricmotorcyclesandvehicles.
The project was twice supported by the Li DakSum InnovationFund in 2021and2023.Theirteamhasbeenbehindthewholeprocess,from productdesignanddevelopmenttolaunchingtomarketafterthree years.Thesuccessful launchoftheprojectenablesthehigh-endnew energyelectricvehiclesandmotorcyclestogainamarketshareinthe market, and in the future smart automotive sector. In 2023, they upgraded products and achieved mass production of the first generation of electronically controlled shock absorber, securing 250 sets of orders and generating more than RMB million in sales.

Yifei Shao,a DreamScholarshiprecipientandstudentfrom theUniversity ofNottinghamNingboChina(UNNC), discussedChina'sdrugcontrolattheUnitedNationsOfficeonDrugsandCrime(UNODC)YouthForum2024inVienna whichgathered35youthsfrom27countries.It's another appearanceof UNNCstudents at aUnitedNationsforum followingLuxiCai'sparticipationintheUNODCYouthForum2023.Andit'sthefirsttimethatstudentshavebeensent bythesameuniversityfromChina'smainlandtoparticipateintheforumfortwoconsecutiveyears.
AsthesolerepresentativefromChina'smainland,Yifeifeltbothnervousandexcited.Heperformedwellandwas interviewedby theofficial mediaof theUnitedNations,conveying totheworldChina'sdeterminationtowardsdrug prohibition. He conducted nearly half a year of extensive preparation for this forum.He visited and conducted research at drugcontroldetachmentsandotheranti-drugsinstitutions andcarefullystudied thedirections andstrategiesof the UnitedNationsonthisissue.

Yu Tian is a PhD student in History and Politics at theUniversity of NottinghamNingbo China.He discovered his passion and talent for foreign languageswhenhe enteredNingboForeignLanguageSchool injunior high school.During hisundergraduate studies,helearntFrenchfromscratch and workedhardtoobtainaB2levelcertificateinFrenchbeforehegraduated from his undergraduate degree.He then decided to use the language as a tool toexplore thepolitical andhistorical mysteriesoftheFrench-speaking world,and appliedforamaster'sprogrammeatUNNc.

LoctekFund: sparking innovation, shaping future leaders
The Loctek Fund was established in 2022 through a generous donation by Loctek Co.,Ltd.,with the core mission of providing students with opportunities to engage in real-world research projects.The fund aims to enhance students' professional competitiveness and foster their innovative thinking. By bridging theory and practice, addressing real-world industry challenges,and nurturing talents equipped to meet the demands of the times,the fund plays a pivotalroleinstudentdevelopment.
Since its inception, the Loctek Fund has garnered widespread attention and participation from UNNC faculty and students. For the 2023-2024 academic year, the initiative attracted around 260 applicants from the Business School, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the Faculty of Science and Engineering. Out of these, 149 students were selected to form multiple teams and embark on diverse innovation projects. These projects span a wide range of cutting-edge fields, including artificial intelligence, cross-border e-commerce, overseas warehouse brand research, marketing strategies,new media operations,digital animation modeling,and product design,covering some of the mostrelevanttechnologiesand industrytrendstoday.
During this year's evaluation process, a review committee comprising UNNC academic professors and Loctek company expertsassessed theshortlistedprojectsbased oncriteriasuchas academicdepth,innovation,andpractical feasibility.Threeteamswere awarded firstprizes,eightreceivedsecondprizes,and sixearned third prizes,witha totalof53 studentsbeingrecognized fortheiroutstandingcontributions.Thisfund hasopened awealthofopportunitiesforUNNC students,enablingthemtoexploreinnovativethinking,nurtureentrepreneurial spirit,andgainvaluableworkexperience throughhands-onpractice.
Among the many impressive projects, a team composed of International Communications students Duan Yixiao, Jiang Yishan, Liu Shuangshuo, and Wang Xiao, stood out for their sophisticated 3D modeling of Loctek desks, earning them thecovetedfirstprize.

UNNCstudentswin2024 Red Dot Award for innovative elderly-care designs
Xiaoxi and Zhiyi's"Memory" is an assistive device forelderly people with cognitive impairments.It consists of a necklace,a ring,and several tags.When the patientapproachesamedicationbottlewithanNFCtag,theringautomatically readstheinformationandtransmitsittothenecklaceviaBluetooth.Thenecklace then plays the reminder, helping to trigger the patient's memory.
Hoilam also put her eye on the elderly with her"Grippy"VR game controller, specially designed for elderly grip strengthpractice while gaming.“Grippy"is pairedwithVRgames tomotivategripexercises.Theproduct incorporates variousdetails,such astextured designsforimprovedgripstability,to enhance theexperienceand meet theneedsofelderly users.
Over thepast sixmonths,Xiaoxi and Hoilamfelt that theirprofessional skills, designthinkingandresearchexplorationabilitieshadsignificantlyimproved.“I havedeveloped acompletedesignthinkingframeworkduringtheprocess,and it continuouslymotivatesmetoseekthebestsolutions,"recalledXiaoxi.Hoilam hopedthatinthefuture,shewouldcontinuetofocusonhuman-centreddesign.
ProfessorXu Sun,Professor in Industrial Design and Manufacture and Associate Dean for Global Engagement and Partnerships,Dr Jiang Wu,Assistant Professor in PDM, and Loic Faulon,Tutor in PDM, supervised the project and guided thestudentstorefinetheworks.
Xiaoxi, currently pursuing a master's in industrial design and innovation at the National University of Singapore,continues to target Alzheimer's patients and develops a device that combines brain electrical stimulation with music therapy. HerteammateZhiyi isnowstudyingIntegratedProductDesignattheUniversity of Pennsylvania, designing a relaxation space for individuals with autism and wearablesto assiststrokepatients.Meanwhile,Hoilam isfurtherenhancing her Grippy device, improving its sensors and circuitry, and preparing it for real-worldtesting.
Zhiyi Chen, Xiaoxi Wang, and Hoilam Leong, graduatesandstudentinProductDesignandManufacture(PDM）from theUniversityof Nottingham NingboChina,won therecently concluded Red Dot Award with theirinnovative designs“Memory”and "Grippy". Their projects were supported by UNNC EducationFoundation.
TheRedDot Awardhasa rich historyspanning over halfacentury and isrecognised asoneof thethree majordesignawardsintheworld.Theirentries stoodout among over4,0o0submissionsfrommore than50countriesandregionsworldwide，earning them the2024"RedDotConceptAward."
Where Art Meets Learning: UNNC Artist in Residence Programme
Artist in Residence is an art project supported by the UNNC Education Foundation. The project aims to provide the students and staff of UNNC with the opportunity to experience and engage with different styles of art, as well as to explorecutting-edgeartisticconceptsand informationthroughthebridgeofart.Byshowcasingvariousformsof artistic expression, the project seeks to enhance the aesthetic abilities of the university community and establish a deeperconnectionwithart.
In the autumn semester of AY 2023/24, the Artist in Residence project invited artist Wang Bo to bring a contemporary art journeytostudents.Throughexhibitions,seriesofworkshops,andoutdoorlight andshadowexhibitions,students were able to experience the new order and principles constructed by artist Wang Bo and his works-exploring simplicity andcomplexity,andgrowinginbalance.
Exhibition:"Weightless"
The personal exhibition “Weightless” by WangBowasheldbetweenOctoberand November2023in theexhibitionhallof UNNC Library. The exhibition, using words and paintings as metaphors,presented a series of visualexpressionsdelvingintotheartist's personal memoriesand themarvellousfusion of"scienceandart".
"Token- Integrated Painting Workshop'
Tokens are records of thepassage of time,presentations of spatialpresence,andmediumsforemotionaltransmission.As athemeforartisticcreation,letterssometimesbecome objects favoured by artists.The emotional medium becomes a narrationofhistorybyartists,andtheirresearchonpictorial space,temporality，and ideographicrelationships continues thetreatment of time andspace.Thisworkshop conveyed the connotationof“token”and presented theembodimentof "object",inspiring students to take root in the soil of creation, seekinthepreservationoftokens,bravelyexplorenewfields， growthroughchallengesandexperiments.
"WangBo's employment of scientific themes andprinciples in his art allowedhis audience to discover multiple entrypointsto appreciating theartandhelpstostrengthenthebondsof art andscience,marryingtheephemeralwiththescientifically quantifiable.The artist'sadaptive anddeeplyconsidered art paiddeepandprofoundrespecttothehostinstitution,drawing inspirationfrom andamplifyingoutwardstheworksand teachings of the university's late president,Professor Yang Fujia.Throughouthisresidency the artistdelivered thoughtful and inspiring opportunitiesforstudents toengage inart appreciation and practices, allwhile generating a great sense of trust in the exploration of artistic personal truths" said Rory Perrott,SeniorArtDevelopmentSpecialistofUNNC.
The 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou saw some behind the scenes contributions from UNNC, from hundreds of volunteers to technological empowerment,to embodying the slogan of"Heart toheart".
A total of106volunteersfromUNNCserved invariouspositionssuchastranslation,safetyinspection and receptionservicesintheXiangshanCompetitionZoneinNingbo.Withtheiroutstandingperformancein cross-culturalcommunication,problem-solving,andteamwork,theyhavewonrecognitionfromguests from different countries and regions, showcasing thehard working spirit of Chineseyouth to the world.
XuanyiZhuisafourth-yearEnglishwithInternationalBusiness student.During the Games,she was responsible for managingthetrademarkoftheeventsponsor-ensuringthat the sponsor'sbrand wasvisibletothe public."Myrepeated smalleffortsandservicesarenotonlyapracticeof anti-stealthmarketing,butalsoaguaranteeandrespectfor ourAsianGamespartners,whichgavemea full sense of achievement",shesaid.
During the Asian Games, Dr Malav Shroff, and Jason Lim, President,andSecretaryGeneral,of theAsianSailingFederation,visited the XiangshanSailingCentre.Ruijia Zuoof Finance,Accounting and Management,accompanied their visit."Themagnificentfireworks in the opening ceremony of theGames are like thegatheringofpeoplecomingfrom all aroundtheworld.Receivingdifferentguestsalwaysreminds methatitisbecauseoftheunityandloveofpeoplethatthe Gameswassuccessfullyheld."
HaotianMaisaUNNCgraduate.Asastaffmemberofthe NingboBanbianMountainBeachVolleyballCenteroperation team,heparticipated inthepreparationandoperationforthe AsianGames.Boththeprofessionalqualitiesgainedfrom UNNC's international teaching, and the experience accumulatedininternationaltradegavehimfullconfidenceand supportedhimtosuccessfullycompletehisservicework.He said，"Iwillhaveplentyofopportunitiesinworkorbusiness, but there is likely only one chance to serve the Asian Games. I want to seize it, prepare well, and make my own contributions."
Living in China: embracing cultures and bridging connections
TheLiving in China culturalengagementprogramme is tailoredforbothChinese and international students atUNNC.It aimstoprovideparticipantswithaseriesofvibrantreal-lifeexperiencesandimmersiveactivitiestoexploretheculture and traditionof thelocal community and integratethemselvesintolocal life asquickly aspossible.Sinceitsinception, theprogrammehasreceivedpositivefeedbackfromparticipants,and it isnow availableforChinese andinternational staff soastopromotestaff/student interaction aswell as cultural exchanges.
There are various activity formats and types, to suit all participants. Activities, themed on Chinese traditional culture experience,urban/citylifeexperience,volunteerteachingexperience，andcross-cultural workshop,weredesigned based on the perspectives and values of the programme. The has received highly positive feedback from participants based on its inclusiveness, diverseness，and integration and has been recommended across campus through word-of-mouth.
Samuel,a master's student in International Managementwhohasbeenjoiningprogramme activitiessince2023shared, "Being a busy master's student, I found the Living in China programme a perfect balance of relaxation, cultural immersion,and stress relief.From making dumplings during Chinese NewYear to tripstoFenghua and the Ningbo Cultural Museum, each event gave me a deeper experience of Chinese culture. I truly believe this programme is invaluable and significant. While there were times when my schedule conflicted with events, I'm happy to see my friends enjoying them,andIhopetovisitsomeof theplacesthey'vebeen."
UNNC Education Foundation again awarded '5A Social Organisation'
Withtheannouncementon17Decemberof theassessmentresultsoftheprovince'ssocialorganisationsfor 2024byZhejiangProvince'sCivilAffairsDepartment,the Universityof NottinghamNingboChinaEducationFoundation(UNNCEducationFoundation)wasawarded the highestgrade-Grade 5A social organisation,which is thesecondtimethehonourhasbeenbestowed，after firstreceiving thislevelofaward in2019.
TheUniversityofNottinghamNingboChinaEducation Foundation(UNNCEducationFoundation)was establishedon4September2012 and is a non-publicfoundationapprovedbytheDepartmentofCivilAffairsofZhejiangProvinceandtheDepartmentofEducationofZhejiang Province.It is the first Sinoforeign cooperative universityfoundation inZhejiangProvince tobe awarded a5Arating.
