Mr. Zhu has been deeply involved in education for many years and has

rich experience in teaching management and operation management of

both international schools and International schools. He was the CEO and

Head of school of a well-known education group in Central China, a senior

secondary school teacher, a senior researcher of the School Culture Research

Centre of Central China Normal University, Chairman of the Supervisory

Board of Hubei Private Education Association, Senior Strategic Advisor of

Hubei-Anhui Chamber of Commerce, and the winner of the first National

Confucius Medal for Education. He has published his personal monograph

“Poems Written in the Classroom”, edited such as “One Hundred Poems for

One Hundred Children”, “Achieve the Best Self” and so on, and compiled

“Oriental Culture Academy” (Volume 1, Volume 2).

A Level (Advanced Level Programme) is a highly developed

and standardized curriculum system. The standards and

content of high school are supervised by the Office of the

Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual). U.K.

Most universities and Higher Education institutes recognise

A Levels as a suitable entry qualification which has the same

impact on students as Gaokao to Chinese students. There

are official textbooks for A Level teaching, and the detailed

syllabus and resources are also a great support the quality.

Students can choose 3-5 subjects for their examination based

on interests and advantages, which can save them more time

for preparation.

There are a number of distinguishing features of the Primary Programme, including its curriculum

design, development of higher thinking skills, personalised learning, a focus on holistic education and

a strong focus on the pastoral care of each student. The ISA Liwan curriculum for the International

programme draws knowledge and fundamental skills from the Chinese National Curriculum. Drawing

also from international curricular content, including Singapore MOE Mathematics, Science and Social

Studies, students are engaged in inquiry involving multiple contexts. With a focus on developing strong

and competitive English Language skills, ISA Liwan Wenhua’s primary curriculum is built around the

standards and outcomes of the UK National Curriculum and materials from Cambridge International

Education. For Chinese language learning, students follow the Chinese National Curriculum at their ageappropriate level. Incorporating Lingnan cultural elements is a feature of the curriculum design.

Using content and standards from national and international curricular, ISA Liwan’s curriculum uses

concepts as building blocks to allow for the development of higher-order thinking skills. These include

synergist thinking, critical thinking and creative thinking. Starting early in primary school, student

skill development is mapped across the curriculum to ensure that they are learning these important

holistic skills from a very early age. These include social skills, research skills, self-management skills

and communication skills, which are all embedded into the curriculum and into the pastoral care

In ISA Liwan, physical education is the practice of lifelong learning and whole-person education.

Our experienced physical education teachers provide students with an adequate and extensive physical

education curriculum and conduct both process and outcome assessment. We will not only provide

exercise lessons for students, but also teach them about the benefits of regular exercise and healthy

food choices, as well as the risks of inactivity and poor diet.
