Jiangsu Agri-animal Husbandry Vocational College (JSAHVC) is the only

one to cultivate students who major in animal science and technology in the

southeast coastal area of China.

Located in the city of Taizhou, Jiangsu Province, JSAHVC covers an area

of about 3053hectares with construction area of 580,000m , which forms a

pattern of the Phoenix Campus as the one main body with two wings: Animal

Husbandry Science and Technology Park and Chinese Herbal Medicine

Science and Technology Park. More than 1,100,000 books and 120,000

electronic books are stored in the college library. There are 717 full-time

teachers including 307 professors and associate professors. JSAHVC sets

such 10 majors as Animal Husbandry and Veterinary, Veterinary Medicine,

Bio-pharmaceutical Technology, Food Inspection and Testing Technology,

Pet Care and Training, Horticulture, Aquaculture Technology, Electronic

Commerce, Computer Application Technology and Application

Technology of Modern Agriculture Equipment for international students all

over the world. In October 2019, our college has been selected into the top 30

construction units of high-level vocational schools with Chinese

characteristics.

2.Majors

The educational level is junior college with 3 years of schooling and

teaching mainly in English.

Courses: animal anatomy & physiology, animal pathogen detection

technology, animal genetics & breeding, animal nutrition & feed, farm

environmental control & waste management technology, animal

reproduction, veterinary clinical diagnosis & treatment, animal epidemic

prevention & quarantine, poultry production, etc.

Employment: After graduation, students of this major mainly work in

large-scale livestock and poultry breeding companies, feed processing and

sales companies, animal hospitals, grassroots animal husbandry and

veterinary stations, etc., where they are mainly engaged in livestock and

poultry breeding, feed processing and marketing, disease diagnosis and

prevention, etc.

Courses: animal anatomy and physiology, animal pathology, animal

pharmacology, animal microbiology and immunology, veterinary clinical diagnosis

and treatment techniques, animal internal diseases, animal surgery and obstetrics,

animal infectious diseases, animal parasitic diseases.

Employment: enterprises and public institutions such as animal disease

diagnosis and treatment institutions, animal disease prevention and control units,

animal health supervision departments, livestock and poultry farms, and all kinds of

animal husbandry and veterinary comprehensive entities independently

established, and can also start their own businesses.

(2) Veterinary Medicine

Courses: biochemistry, microbiology, cell biology, gene engineering, cell

engineering, fermentation engineering, biochemical separation technology.

Employment: pharmaceutical enterprises and institutions, biological drug

research and development, pharmaceutical production, bio-pharmaceutical

management and administration, medical examiner, pharmaceutical

engineering design, pharmaceutical foreign trade, pharmaceutical representatives,

promotion and marketing of pharmaceutical technology.

Courses: food biochemistry, food physicochemical analyzing technology, food

microbiology, food additive application and analyzing, food nutrition and health,

food safety and quality control, household nutritional diet, etc.

Employment: This major is for food safety supervision and management

departments, food quality inspection institutions, food processing enterprises, food

circulation and sales enterprises, nutrition catering and health care guidance

industry and other units, engaged in quality control personnel, quality inspectors,

food processing technicians, nutritionists and health guidance posts, etc.

(4) Food Inspection and Testing Technology

Courses: animal microbiology and immunity, veterinary pharmacology and

toxicology, animal pathology, pet breeding, pet nutrition and feed, veterinary clinical

diagnosis and treatment technology, pet breeding, pet common diseases, pet

training and performance, pet beauty, pet epidemic and public health, work dog

training and guidance technology, pet care and healthcare, pet shop management,

etc.

Employment: pet beauty shop, pet hospital, pet farm, pet training school, pet

products production and sales enterprises, pet related entity units independently

established.

Courses: plant growth and environment, protected horticulture, plant

tissue culture, prevention and control of plant diseases and insect pests,

factory seedling raising, flower and bonsai technology, flower production

technology, fruit tree production technology, production technology of rare

and special vegetables, cultivation technology of edible and medicinal fungi,

storage and processing of horticultural products, leisure agriculture planning,

garden planting design, Chinese herbal medicine cultivation, etc.

Employment: The cultivation of horticultural technology specialty

should meet the requirements of modern horticulture development, and

master the necessary professional theoretical knowledge and more skilled

comprehensive professional skills in the field of modern horticulture.

Compound technical talents who can be engaged in horticultural plant

cultivation (fruit trees, vegetables, flowers, edible and medicinal fungi, etc.),

breeding of improved varieties, green prevention and control, product

storage and processing and applied technology experiment, agricultural

technology research and development and promotion, urban agricultural

sightseeing park planning, family farm operation and management, etc.

Courses: aquaculture, biology, chemistry, bio-chemistry, genetics, aquatic

physiology, ichthyology, hydrobiology, water environment chemistry, food organism

culture, culture and breeding of Fish, culture and breeding of crustacean, aquatic

animal diseases, etc.

Employment: aquaculture management and disease prevention & control of

aquatic animals; provide aquaculture technical services for aquatic enterprises,

and extension of efficient and healthy aquaculture technologies; diagnosis and

treatment of aquatic animal or plants diseases and disease prevention;

reproduction or breeding of normal aquatic fish and production of high-value

3. Application period

Course started in Autumn：Between March and July of 2023

4. How to apply

Log in to the registration website for international students

studying in JSAHVC, fill in basic information, and upload application

document (In Chinese or English)

5. Entrance Examination

Applicants are required to send one video of self-introduction in

English, as the entrance examination organized by our college.

6. Admission

The college will send the admission notice and visa application

form (JW202) to the qualified applicants within 30 days. With the two

admission documents mentioned above, the qualified applicants

should come to our college for registration in mid-September, and

those who failed to arrive in time, will not be accepted any more.

Before getting a graduation certificate, foreign students for 3-

year diploma program must finish the courses stipulated in the

teaching plan and complete their credits. They also must obtain the

HSK Level 3 Certificate with good performance in college,
