James von Klemperer is an architect resided in New York. He serves

as President of Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF). He is famous for the design

contribution to new cities, urban complex clusters and super high-rise

buildings, including the Lotte World Tower, ranking No. 5 in height

in the world, and Vanderbilt No. 1 under the construction near the

central station of Manhattan. At the beginning of 1990s, he also plays

a leading role in the practices of KPF in Asia.

Born in Rome, Italy in 1966, Lorenzo Quinn is one of the most

famous modern sculptors in the world. Quinn enrolled in Academy

of Fine Arts in New York in early 1980s, and started his painting

career since then. Under the inspiration of masters like Michelangelo,

Bernini and Rodin, he created many public art works with

commemorative significance, as well as many small sized works

catering for interactions with the audience. All these works have

transmitted his unremitting pursuit for the sublime faith and real

sentiments. His creation techniques have both poetic significance and

symbolic meaning. The works confront directly toward social issues

to motivate the people to get further development in tolerance and

harmony. He is most famous for his series works created with the

theme of hands.

王克良,遼寧人。1969 年畢業(yè)于上海戲劇學(xué)院。一直留在南方,

擅長(zhǎng)水彩畫(huà)創(chuàng)作,他并沒(méi)有像其他畫(huà)家紀(jì)錄江南的景色,而是走

向抽象畫(huà)創(chuàng)作的道路。水彩畫(huà)的空靈與清透,正好與這種探索相

應(yīng),成為了他很長(zhǎng)一段時(shí)間作品的主要形式,并為他取得了赫赫

贊譽(yù)。

過(guò)了知命之年時(shí),王克良毅然舍棄成就斐然的水彩畫(huà),開(kāi)始探索

油畫(huà)顏料在紙板上的表現(xiàn)。紙紋的色澤與質(zhì)地給予他筆觸的無(wú)限

自由,洗、擦丶點(diǎn)丶染,狂放淋漓,連對(duì)紙板的撕,拉都成了構(gòu)

Wang Keliang, a native of Liaoning. Graduated from Shanghai

Theater Academy in 1969. He has always stayed in the south and is

good at creating watercolor paintings. He did not record the scenery

of Jiangnan like other painters, but took the road of abstract painting

creation. The etherealness and clarity of watercolor painting, which

corresponds to this exploration, has become the main form of his

works for a long time, and has won him great praise.

After his fateful years, Wang Keliang resolutely abandoned his

accomplished watercolors and began to explore the performance of

oil paints on cardboard. The color and texture of paper textures give

him unlimited freedom of brushstrokes, such as washing, rubbing,

spotting, dyeing, and dripping wildly.

The large-scale abstract oil painting on canvas is the most focused and

exciting part of the artist's artistic practice in recent years. The mastery

于洋(b.1985),畢業(yè)于清華大學(xué)美術(shù)學(xué)院雕塑系,碩士;中國(guó)

雕塑學(xué)會(huì)會(huì)員,現(xiàn)任職上海工藝美術(shù)學(xué)院雕塑系。

Yang Yu (born in 1985) has a master degree from department of

sculpture of Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University. As a

member of China Sculpture Institute, he serves in Department of

Sculpture of Shanghai Art and Design Academy.

Antonie Poncet

安托萬(wàn)·蓬塞

安托萬(wàn)·蓬塞(生于 1928 年)是歐洲戰(zhàn)后雕塑界備受矚目的代

表人物。他在瑞士長(zhǎng)大,從小就被藝術(shù)所包圍。他的父親是一位

Antonie Poncet (born in 1928) is a typical figure in the sculpture of

post-war age in Europe. He grew up in Swiss under strong artistic

atmosphere. His father is a painter, and his grandfather is Maurice

Denis, a famous artist of Nabis movement, whose theories have made

great contribution to the development foundation of cubism, fauvism

and abstract art.

When he was 14 years old, Poncert studied from sculptor Germain

Richier in Zurich. From 1942, he studied in art college in Lausanne,

and later moved to Paris. He transferred to abstractionism in this

stage of his career. The exploration for forms was his constant focus.

‘I must create a sculpture that could survive with its balance volume,

vivid motions and plump space.”

Poncet was highly influenced by the works of Brancusi and Jean Arp,

especially their attention on shapes, forms and volumes. The bronze

products created by Poncert seem to be under the forming process in

the eye of audiences, creating a kind of dynamic and instant feeling.

The surface texture has true significance in his works; his sculpture

has polished surface to enhance the effect of light rays.

From 1952, Poncert regularly exhibited his works in main saloons,

like Youth Saloon, New Realism Saloon; in 1953, he organized a

group exhibition in Paris National Modern Art Museum. In 1956, he

participated in the International Sculpture Exhibition in Paris Rodin

Museum, and his works was selected to participate in the Venice

Biennial Exhibition on behalf of Swiss. In his career, he won several

grand awards, including Henry Moore in Japan in 1983.

The works of Poncert have been collected by many museums

around the world, including Paris National Modern Art Museum,

Paris Modern Art Foundation, Milan Modern Art Gallery, New

York Modern Art Museum, Washington DC Hillsbourne Museum,

Minneapolis Art Museum, Toronto Art Museum, Chicago Art

College, Japan Hakone Outdoor Museum, etc.
